Ninja from Go Team! Kindly takes time out from her around the world trip to talk to RD about gigs, their funky sound and shaming their fans into dancing!

Ok so first of all, how are you and the band?
Yeah, we are great thanks, we’ve just got back from Australia and we went to Portugal as well for a couple of days. We’ve got a little bit of time off before we go to Mexico and then it’s the UK tour.

RD talks to local lads the Flytes about their recent success in the "Live & Unsigned" competition, amongst other things. She just loves interviewing!

First of all congratulations! How does it feel knowing you've been picked from over 10,000 music artists?
Its great to get through to the semi finals and to be selected from 10,000 artists is even better.

Would you say there are a lot more opportunities now for up and coming artists than there was 10 year ago?
I would say yes, there do seem to be more opportunities now especially with competitions such as 'live and unsigned'. I think it’s all about taking opportunities that come along, but also about putting in a lot of work behind the scenes, such as song writing, rehearsals, promotion and a strong commitment and work ethic.

Have you written any new material for the competition?
We have 2 / 3 new songs which are in the process of being completed, and one fairly new song which we are going to play at the semi finals.
