Ambershift live @ The Cluny

Hailing from the North East, Ambershift have been garnering attention and airplay. So what are they like live? In short, to quote a friend 'a good solid band'.

If you're a fan of the likes of Editors, then you will enjoy Ambershift. Their work features multilayered, sharp guitars, but with extra depth. Strident bass and synths are added to the guitars and as well as Editors, there are influences such as Kasabian and U2. The tone was set immediately with opener Play Dead, and followed with the likes of Russian Doll, and continued with the likes of China Town, All The Guns and Hands. The crowd had dwindled a little by the time they came on stage, but were appreciative of the music they heard.

Having been on a recent tour of the UK, the band are due to release their debut single, Another Trigger, on 12th July, with their debut album following a week later. They also have a number of forthcoming gigs including the Head of Steam on 27th May and The Cluny again on 3 July.
